Afrikat Catamaran 69 cruises are in the business of creating memories to last a lifetime. We feel that these memories and experiences should be for everyone. We want and can welcome everyone onboard, because Afrikat 69 is suitable and accessible for all.
Our Dutch and English husband and wife team have travelled the world before settling in Gran Canaria and have bought their values of excellent customer service.
Having worked on boats and in tourism worldwide, they felt the need to provide an experience that was accessible for all – it is important to be available for everyone, including wheelchair users. Their goal was to provide stability, movability, and a comfortable experience for all.
Afrikat is made in such a way that we can receive people in wheelchairs.
Afrikat 69 is designed by the Afrikat team and built in Valencia in 2017.
It is a 21-meter catamaran, providing ample space for wheelchair users including a wheelchair adapted toilet on the ground floor. It is also a stable catamaran and ensures that you can easily move around, including when we are navigating at sea. It has also wide passageways providing access to the main deck and the salon, so there is a great movability.
Afrikat 69 has won awards for its outstanding product and service. Our team have worked hard to provide a product and experience which offers accessibility for everyone, and it has been rewarded. Afrikat 69 has been given an award for Gran Canaria Accessible from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and also the Canary Award- peoples choice for best leisure & Adventure.
In 2020 we were awarded the Travellers Choice award by TripAdvisor.
